"TOP customer service!!!"

I approached packed with a work project, searching for a Ski trip for 50 people. Right from the beginning the customer service was super, within a couple of days I had 2 trips that fitted the criteria perfectly. Due to the nature of my job I was unable to progress quickly and was back & forth with questions and requests, but nevertheless Ed Mellor continued to be professional, extremely helpful and patient. There was never a delay is receiving responses to my many emails.

"Simple, fast and super helpful"

I saw an advert on Instagram and thought it’d be worth a shout as I was having a hard time booking a ski trip for myself and 6 mates. From start to finish it was easy messaging through WhatsApp and they found brilliant deals for us. Would happily recommend to anyone thinking of using them. Ed was fantastic and super fast to reply and keep my up to date

Trusted Customer

I've booked with My Swft for the last 3 years, 4 holidays in total. This year was even better. The new online booking is really simple to be able to share with the group and get people to choose a location. Then everyone managing their own booking makes it even easier for the group leader!

Adam Burrage

Melissa Harris

Must-see neighbourhoods in Amsterdam

Jordaan

Smack-bang in Amsterdam's city centre, this historic district is where you'll find some of its most attractive canals and some really top-notch restaurants. Formerly working class, Jordaan has risen from the ashes and is now one of the most photographed areas of Amsterdam thanks in part to top cultural attractions like Anne Frank's House.

Jordaan is also the home of the Nine Little Streets (9 straatjes in the local lingo) which is one of the best shopping spots in the city, plus there's some great food markets if you fancy trying out the local grub.

De Wallen

Best known as the home of Amsterdam's Red Light District, De Wallen is where to head for the rowdier part of the weekend. It's one of the oldest sections of the city and has plenty of historic monuments to visit when you're not staring at half-naked women or browsing the risque displays at the Erotic Museum.

If you'd rather steer clear of the district's racier attractions, there's a handful of great markets to explore as well as a decent selection of Amsterdam's coffee shops that you'll leave with more than just a caffeine hit.

De Pijp

This hip area is located just south of the city centre and its warren of tiny streets are littered with cool brunch spots and loads of laid back bars. It's also known as Amsterdam's Latin Quarter thanks to its bohemian residents and mish-mash of vibrant eateries where you can tuck into everything from Spanish tapas to Moroccan mezze.

One of the biggest attractions in De Pijp is the huge Albert Cuyp Market which boasts over 300 stalls selling clothing, souvenirs and dozens of local delicacies. Beer drinkers will be happy to know that there are also two major breweries in the district - the popular Heineken Experience and the smaller Brouwerij Troost which makes some awesome IPAs.

Stag accommodation in Amsterdam

Whatever your group size, there are loads of great accommodation options for an Amsterdam stag weekend - from contemporary hostels with all the basics to super luxurious, five star hotels perfect for chilled out mornings when you're all suffering. If you'd prefer to self-cater, apartment rentals can be found although it can be tricky for larger groups.

Stay close to the action or find a bolthole on the edge of one of the major neighbourhoods that'll guarantee uninterrupted sleep every night of your stay. We've handpicked a handful of awesome Amsterdam accommodation options below:

Here's a slice of what's on offer to give you an idea:

Two girls in a hotel bar with a pool table and table football

Meininger Amsterdam Amstel

HHandily located a few minutes from Amsterdam Amstel station, Meininger Amsterdam Amstel is a fantastic pick for lads on a lower budget. Downstairs, you'll find plenty of cool social spaces to chill out in before you hit the streets in the evening, including a friendly bar area complete with pool table and table football.
The bar and seating area at the Generator Hostel

Generator Amsterdam

Another awesome hostel is Generator Amsterdam on the edge of the city's main canal belt and about a mile from Rembrandtplein. It's a real stunner thanks to the fact it's lodged inside a former lecture hall and because it has super slick decor across all of its double rooms and dorms. Grab coffee on its sunny terrace in the mornings and ask the reception staff where the entrance to the hostel's secret boiler room bar is come nightfall...
A high end restaurant at the Apollo hotel in Amsterdam

Apollo Hotel Amsterdam

Open your curtains to water-side views at the ideally positioned Apollo Hotel. You'll find it right on the edge of De Pijp and at an intersection of five main canals. It's great for groups with a little more cash to splash, with each of its two person guest rooms featuring super plush beds and all your essential mod-cons. Apollo Hotel Amsterdam also has a canalside terrace that's perfect for pre drinks before a big night out.

The hotel also has an onsite bar-restaurant perfect for grabbing a beer and a burger, plus a fitness centre and spa if you need some R&R after a heavy night of drinking.
A dimly lit seating area in a hotel with a modern chandelier

Hotel V Fizeaustraat

Snooze in swish bedrooms with views across the water and cook up meals in fully-equipped kitchens. There's also plenty of onsite amenities, from a spa and fitness centre to two onsite restaurants (one even offers room service!). Another bonus at Hotel Boat & Co is its free bike hire which makes getting around the city easy and affordable.
An apartment with a pink sofa and a spiral staircase
