The Mont Blanc Unlimited (MBU) pass covers everything Chamonix Le Pass does plus a huge range of extras. First, it gives you access to Les Houches which is a lovely ski area 6km down the road from Chamonix (accessed by shuttle bus) with long and picturesque descents lined by trees that is great for groups with mixed abilities.
The pass will also get you up the Aiguillle Du Midi cable car which goes right up to 3,842m and offers unrivalled, spectacular views across the alps. This is also where you go to ski the epic 20km+ Vallée Blanche ski run which is skiable by confident intermediates, although you do need a guide to navigate your route around the often very deep and dangeous crevasses dotted down the glacier.
Beyond that, any pass bought for 2 days or more will open access to Courmayeur in Italy, immediately on the other side of the Mont Blanc tunnel. A 6-day MBU pass means you can also ski in the exclusive Swiss resort of Verbier for a day. It's 65km away so it's worth taking a car.
