The Chamonix Mont-Blanc ski domain is made up of four large ski areas: Grand Montets, Brévent-Flégère, Balme Vallorcine and Les Houches. There are also several smaller ski areas spread across the valley including Savoy, Chosalots, Tourchet, Poya, Vormaine and Planards.

If you go for the Mont Blanc Unlimited ski pass, you can also access nearby ski resorts Courmayeur (Italy) and Verbier (Switzerland). You can find more information on which ski pass you need to access each of these areas below.

Check out this 3D interactive map of Chamonix from FATMAP. This alternative Chamonix ski map shows off the numerous off-piste tracks that have been skied and recorded by FATMAP users. Download the app, turn on tracking and you can record your own descents and leave feedback on conditions for others to find.

Be careful, some of the descents are extreme and conditions change quickly. You should also ensure you have specialist travel insurance if you plan to ski off-piste.
