Bestie about to get hitched? Treat her to a weekend she'll never forget and jet off to Budapest for a few days of affordable cocktails, calming spa sessions and charming European culture.
The Hungarian capital nestled on the majestic Danube River is packed with centuries of fascinating history, from Hapsburg palaces and Gothic cathedrals to poignant museums and memorials from its WWII occupation. Nicknamed the ‘city of baths', it's become a major hen do destination not just for its unique nightlife and stunning backdrops, but also its lush thermal spas. Locals have bathed in the city's soothing waters since Roman times and we're certain you'll find a relaxing dip the ideal hangover cure.
For more traditional hen do activities, Budapest doesn't disappoint, either. The city is a party mecca, with its iconic ruin bars providing a laid back location for hens to let loose. For Budapest hen do ideas with a little more wow-factor, consider a tasty dinner cruise, tickets to the biggest music festival in Europe or seeing the sights from above on an incredible helicopter tour.
Newbies in Budapest may feel a little out of their depth planning the hen do of the century. Never fear, though. Our experts are on hand via WhatsApp and Messenger to help take all the hassle out of your hen party planning, whether that's suggesting epic activities for your group or organising all the boring logistics.

"TOP customer service!!!"

I approached Packed with a work project, searching for a Ski trip for 50 people. Right from the beginning the customer service was super, within a couple of days I had 2 trips that fitted the criteria perfectly. Due to the nature of my job I was unable to progress quickly and was back & forth with questions and requests, but nevertheless Ed Mellor continued to be professional, extremely helpful and patient. There was never a delay is receiving responses to my many emails.

Trusted Customer

I've booked with My Swft for the last 3 years, 4 holidays in total. This year was even better. The new online booking is really simple to be able to share with the group and get people to choose a location. Then everyone managing their own booking makes it even easier for the group leader!

Adam Burrage

Melissa Harris

Neighbourhoods not to be missed

Jewish Quarter

Found on the Pest side of the river, the Jewish Quarter (aka District Seven) was formerly a ghetto during WWII, but rose from the ashes to become one of the coolest neighbourhoods in Budapest. It's where you'll find the city's famed ruin bars - ramshackle yet welcoming drinking holes lodged inside abandoned old buildings - as well as dozens of cosy restaurants, independent shops and the beautiful Dohány Street Synagogue.

Castle Hill

No trip to Budapest is complete without strolling (or catching the funicular railway) up to the UNESCO World Heritage Castle Hill. Near its summit is where you'll spot grand Buda Castle - the home of the Hungarian National Gallery and former seat of the Hungarian royal family - while the top is scattered with stunning structures like dreamy Fisherman's Bastion and Matthias Church with its colourful roof.

Gellert Hill

Gellert Hill neighbours Castle Hill and it's a great spot for both bathing at the art deco Gellert Baths and taking in beautiful vistas. Increase your heart rate hiking up weaving pathways to the Citadella, a 19th century fortress that's now one of the best viewpoints in the city. If you're feeling a bit delicate, catch the number 27 bus instead.

Belváros-Lipótváros

More commonly known as District V, this is the very centre of Budapest and a real hub for shopping and dining. It's also where you'll discover key landmarks like St. Stephen's Basilica and the majestic Hungarian Parliament Building. The area's vast riverfront is home to the city's hippest bars and clubs, in addition to some of the best markets for treats and souvenirs.
